Ezekiel Elliott Assault - Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott will not face charges following domestic violence allegations involving his ex-girlfriend, the attorney's office in Columbus, Ohio City, said Tuesday.
The fourth overall pick in this year's NFL draft was accused in July of assaulting Tiffany Thompson while they were sitting in a parked car and she had pain in her wrist, but she has refused medical attention for what is believed to be just a incident in a series of five cases. domestic violence between 17 and 22 July.

"This is mainly due to conflicting and inconsistent information between the incidents which has led to concerns regarding the sufficiency of the evidence to support the filing of criminal charges," authorities said in a statement. Elliott, who pleaded not guilty, told authorities at the time he never touched Thompson in a "harmful way." He said Thompson suffered bruises during a bar fight. Thompson claimed Elliott had hit her "several times" leaving "bruises on her arms" over a five-day period. She posted photos of the alleged injuries on Instagram. Due to "conflicting statements" between Elliott, Thompson and witnesses, Columbus police referred Thompson to the state prosecutor's office in July.
While Elliott's abuse story was strong, Thompson's seemed to fall apart with each new piece of evidence that emerged. The two most notable of these are a recording of a 911 call to police in which the alleged victim appears remarkably calm about the situation which she claimed:

It took over a year from the time Ezekiel Elliott was accused of domestic violence before the NFL handed him a six-game suspension. The details that became public were confusing and ugly, and both sides questioned the other's credibility.
We know that Elliott has not been criminally charged in the case and has consistently denied the allegations. We also know that the woman made a false police statement about an allegation she made against Elliott, but that the NFL investigation concluded that she was telling the truth about three other allegations of physical assault. The Columbus, Ohio prosecutor, who did not press charges against Elliott, also believed his alleged victim, but suggested he had no evidence to press charges.
The purpose of this article is to sort through what has been made public and put together a timeline based on police reports, witness statements, text messages, and NFL results. Not all information on this case is public. Only recorded police interviews of the alleged victim and one witness were made available. The NFL's 160-page investigative report has not been released, although excerpts have been leaked to the press.

Elliott is only the third player — and the most recognizable name — to receive a six-game base suspension for domestic violence since the Personal Conduct Policy was enacted in December 2014.
The situation threatened to turn into a long, even worse battle. The NFL Players Association and the NFL engaged in another power struggle over the league's disciplinary process, but the NFL was ultimately not defeated in court. Elliott will serve a six-game suspension.
What she told police: Elliott's accuser called the Florida Aventura Police Department after an argument with her. She said Elliott, listed as a "friend (with benefits)" in the police report, pushed her into a wall, injuring her shoulder.
In her 911 call, she told the operator that her boyfriend hit her "Because I texted one of her old teammates." (pages 19-20)

What she told police: Elliott told police the woman, who was visiting from Ohio during her pre-draft training, was upset about a "social media incident," and in the ensuing argument she told them asked to leave. She said she tried to lock herself in another room. The police report said she grabbed his waist and he pulled her away from him.
The woman was examined by paramedics. There were no visible signs of injury and no other witnesses. No charges were filed. (Aventura police report)
What he told the NFL: The Dallas Morning News obtained transcripts of the alleged victim's interviews with Kia Roberts, the NFL's director of investigations. During her interview, Elliott's accuser said the day before she filed a police report in Florida, an argument ensued between the two after she got angry because Elliott was whispering to her about another woman with a friend he called "marketer" who was into drugs (p. 20 and p. 31). She said Elliott repeatedly pushed her against the wall and pinned her, leaving bruises and fingerprints on her arms.
In a September 2016 interview, he told Roberts that Elliott stopped when he "realized what he was doing, like every other time. And that's when I said he said, 'come to bed and lie down.' with me'” (page 6)

The woman said she was trying to leave and he tried to stop her and that Elliott was drunk. “When she drinks…it's just another side of him. It's like he's losing control of himself." (Page 5)
In another November 2016 interview, he told league investigators that he messaged Joey Bosa, Ohio State teammate and Elliott's former roommate, on Facebook to find a place to stay in the area and when Elliott discovered the messages the next day, Elliott pushed her again with an "open hand", injuring her shoulder and left breast, and threw all of her belongings off the balcony of her rented apartment. That's when she said she called the police. (pages 21-26)
She said after she checked into a hotel, a lawyer and Elliott's agent texted her because they were concerned about press exposure. According to her interview, she agreed to call the police officer she met because "I didn't want to ruin [Elliott's] career." She said Elliott texted her throughout the day and visited her hotel twice. (pages 29-30)
In her September interview with Roberts, Elliott's accuser said she didn't remember their conversation at the hotel, but she knew he told Elliott she was "done with him." (page 8) In his November interview with her, he said Elliott had told her that he loved her and wanted to be with her. (page 31)

What Elliott told the NFL: During the NFL investigation, Elliott said his accuser never called the police before July 22, 2016, which is not true. However, he was not directly asked what happened to Aventura. (pages 20-21) During his August 2017 appeals hearing, Elliott told NFL referee Harold Henderson that he misinterpreted the question and assumed Roberts was only asking about the events of week 16-21. July 22nd. (page 82)
Elliott was questioned about the Aventura incident during his appeals hearing. She said she was "rude" to him and her friend, so she suggested she go back to Ohio a day early. The next day, he said Bosa sent him a screenshot of him exchanging her with the woman, and Elliott said he had asked to stay with Bosa.
Elliott said he never touched or injured his accuser. When she recounted the events to officers at the scene, Elliott said the woman "she was literally looking at me, she literally started smiling and laughing." (pages 80-81)
Elliott also said she never removed it from him and that the police report was wrong. "I didn't push it. I was trying to open my door," she said. (page 147)
